Sweetheart Table Wedding Centerpiece Tutorial

Sweetheart Table Wedding Centerpiece Tutorial
This lesson demonstrates another iteration of a couple’s table décor. For a sweetheart table, we are making an ideal spray-low arrangement. It is large and lush, making it a focal point of the overall style yet low enough not to block the couple’s vision. Enjoy, we hope!
FLORAL SUPPLIES AND TOOLS NEEDED
- Flowers from Flowersarch
- Preserved Eucalyptus
- Dried Caspia
- Floral Foam
- Dried Wheat
- Dried Leather Ferns
STEP 1: PREPARE THE MATERIALS
Make an arrangement that complements the theme of your wedding. You can colour your own flowers or purchase one of our pre-dyed assortments HERE. For a straightforward step-by-step guide, see our How to Dye page.
If this is your first experience stemming flowers made of sola wood, please refer to our How to Stem Tutorial. You will master various stemming techniques with bamboo stems or floral wire.
STEP 2: ARRANGE THE FLOWERS
Remember that we want the floral foam base to approximate the final shape of our arrangement as closely as possible. We are aiming for a small, long artwork for this project. We should utilize the entire block.
To begin, place a flower on either side of the floral foam. This initial stage will determine the spray arrangement’s length. Distribute the flowers evenly across the top and base.
Please increase the number of blooms while leaving appropriate gaps between them. Blooms should face upward at the top and downward at the bottom. In the following stage, accents will be added to the spaces.
STEP 3: ADD GREENERY AND FILLERS
Start with broader greenery, like silver-dollar eucalyptus, and then use filler flowers to cover any holes or exposed areas. A few bunches of them can readily cover larger areas.
Add the dried caspia flowers after that. In addition to adding volume, these will make the spray appear softer and more delicate.
Incorporate additional greenery. This time, we received willow eucalyptus and leather ferns. As you proceed, strive for symmetry and balance.
Add extra greenery to give the item more body. Add wheatgrass or foxtail throughout to make it look loose and organic while yet compacting it.
Prepare your table. Candles, lamps, draperies made of soft linen, and other decorative accents can all be used to enhance the spray arrangement.
Completed! A sweetheart table adorned with eternal Flowersarch is ideal for showing your love.
