Quick and Easy Wood Bead and Wood Flower Wreath!

Natural-looking pieces that look great year-round are my favorite! Particularly when they only require a few resources or time!

What You'll Need:

What I utilized for this project is as follows:

  • 14-inch wooden circular wreath with 25mm half-wood beads (hole-free, smooth back)
  • Flowers on Sole Wood Greenery: I employed a range of peonies!
  • Spray paint for the wreath form and beads or handmade acrylic paint for the wooden flowers are optional.

Add the Beads!

Apply hot glue to the bead's reverse side and place it on the wood wreath form's thinner section! Ensure the beads are in contact as you proceed to the next bead. Keep going until the thin area is completely covered, leaving the thicker section uncovered for flowers and plants.

Using the half-wooden beads, I made this 14-inch figure out of 37!

OPTIONAL: Spray Paint!

This is the ideal moment to grab a can of spray paint in your favorite color and give the entire artwork a new look once the beads are fastened to the frame and before you add greenery and flowers! Although I preferred the natural wood look for my wreath, it would look fantastic in any color.

Add A Greenery Base

I kept changing my mind about the type of foliage I wanted to use, but in the end, I wanted it to seem a little summery. Thus, mixed ferns! My fingers thank me when I plan like that! I hot glued them straight to the thicker portion of the wreath form and held them in place with a popsicle stick until the glue cooled. Until I had an excellent foundation for the flowers to go on, I added greenery.

Add Flowers!

One of my favorite flowers is peonies! My most remarkable feature about wood flowers is that they are so versatile. The less exciting truth is that my natural peony bush only produced a few blooms this spring (sad face). Use your preferred varieties even when the fresh flower version isn't unavailable! We also have a wide variety of peony styles in our shop! One by one, starting with the biggest bloom and working outward to the smallest, I took a few and hot glued them straight onto our foliage base.

There you have it, then! A gorgeous wreath made of wood flowers and beads that you can hang all year can be made in less than 30 minutes!
